Sneak Peek: Make-up

Gestern war ich zum Team Meeting in München, und wo ich schon mal da war, haben Anne und ich uns in der Mittagspause auf dem Weg zum Karstadt Oberpollinger gemacht, genauer gesagt zum dortigen MAC Cosmetics Stand.
Ich war auf der Suche nach passender Foundation, Puder und was Braut eben sonst noch so braucht. Fündig wurde ich auch, aber erst musste ich 1 Stunde lang stillsitzen und mich von der Visagistin schminken lassen. Mir persönlich war es am Schluss einen Tick zu dick aufgetragen (bin es aber vielleicht auch nicht so gewohnt) aber ansonsten war ich sehr zufrieden. Habe also gleich die Foundation, den Puder, das Rouge und die Mascara mitgenommen. Leider habe ich zurück im Büro festgestellt, dass es eine normale Mascara war und für die Hochzeit hätte ich schon gern eine wasserfeste, man weiß ja nie ;) Anne ist so lieb und tauscht sie für mich um, Foto daher also ohne Mascara:

Probeessen in München

Montag und Dienstag war ich wieder in München, und war dort u.a. mit Anne und Rosita am Montag mittag Probeessen im Katzlmacher. Probeessen deshalb, weil wir zum offiziellen “Weihnachtsfeierlocationsuchkomittee” ernannt wurden und somit Ideen sammeln und Plätze testen mussten, die auch wirklich JEDEM Berater gerecht werden ;) Leider fiel das Katzlmacher durch, das Essen war zwar wirklich hervorragend, das Ambiente aber etwas sehr strange. Ich sag nur: Glasluftballons an der Decke… Es war einfach etwas unruhig und nicht sonderlich stimmig. Das Essen war wie gesagt klasse, ich hatte getrüffelte Ricottaravioli. Privat hätte ich aber auch keine 14,- EUR für 6 Ravioli bezahlt ;) Naja, München halt.

Wir verließen das Restaurant nicht wirklich gesättigt, haben zu dritt 70,- EUR bezahlt (für jeweils ein Nudelgericht, einen Salat und gemeinsam eine Flasche Wasser) und legten danach noch einen Stopp bei San Francisco Coffee Company ein, deren White Chocolat Moccha war da ein willkommener Nachtisch!

Wo die Weihnachtsfeier nun letztendlich stattfindet ist immer noch nicht ganz raus. In die engere Auswahl kommen jetzt noch das Momo und das Seehaus. Zwischendurch war noch vom Tegernsee die Rede, doch das wird wohl auch nichts.

Girls out in Munich!

Another trip to Munich, and this time it was even more special as Isabella, my UK collegue visited our Munich office last week and I am SO glad she did :)

But first, I need to tell you about the wonderful Suite – yes: SUITE! – I was upgraded to in the Fleming´s Hotel. I checked in as usual and the frontdesk lady told me that I was upgraded to a Suite. Good start, isn´t it? :)

We have planned to use Munich´s culinaric opportunities during Isabella´s stay and so her, Anne and me went out for dinner at Brenner´s the first evening, I had a delicious Caprese and fish afterwards. On the second day, Isabella met her former boss in the Mandarin Oriental and she asked me to join them at 6pm. Had a very nice cappuccino there and got to know Jacqueline who turned out to be as lovely as Isabella always described her :) We were sitting in this breathtaking hotel lobby for about 1 hour. Just around the corner was this lovely French restaurant called Buffet Kull. I went there with Michael about 4 years ago and knew that it was good, so we decided to eat there. Good choice, even after all these years! Started with delicious goat cheese with salad and afterwards had some spinach gnocchi.

We have originally planned to watch the Sex and the City movie in the hotel – In-room cinema, complimentary in the Suite :) – but we had such a great time in the restaurant that we only left at about 11pm… and as we are GOOD girls and knew we needed to go to work the day after, we only watched about half an hour of the film, were both to tired anyway.

Isabella left on Thursday noon and me a couple of hours later. Before lunch I started to cough and sneeze but still felt quite good. However, as soon as I was sitting in the train I slowly started to feel worse and got very tired. And this was the beginning of the nasty virus I am still suffering from. Need to have my good night´s sleep now…
